This post explains you about how to remove spoke server from TSM Operation centre completely. adding spoke server (Another TSM Server ) is a very easy process with simple steps (Read my post on how to add spoke server using Operation Center), if you want to remove the spoke server from Operation Center you won’t find any option. to remove the server from operation centre you have use command builder, let’s follow the steps for removing spoke server from TSM Operation Center using the command line.
Look the below picture I have one spoke server TSMSRV01 Added in my operation Center Manager currently the status of the server is Unavailable and I wanted to remove this server from HUB Server Operation Center manager.
Step-1: Login to HUB Server Operation Centre and Open the Command Builder
Step-2: Enter the following command in command Builder and note down the following group_name and member_name as shown in the below screenshot, you should be able to see different spoke server name in your case.
Step-3: Next step you have delete spoke server from monitoring by executing the following command, it will prompt a message Do you want to proceed? press Y to delete the fields
DELETE GRPMEMBER group_name member_nameExample: delete grpmember IBM-OC-TSMSRV2 TSMSRV01
Once you enter the Y command it will show the following message
Step-4: Check the Spoke server Status in Operation Center Manager, it will show the status as Unmonitored.
We have stopped the spoke server from monitoring state.
Clean removal of Spoke Server
step-5: open the command builder and find the spoke server and delete
We have successfully removed the server from HUB Server Operation Centre, if you have followed the above steps carefully, HUB Server will be removed from your Operation Center completely.
