How to Access ESXi Server
- ESXi Direct Console
- VMware PowerCLI
- vSphere Client
- vSphere WebClient
- vCenter Server
Step-2: Install the vSphere Client.
Step-3: Open the vSphere Client and enter the IP address and Credentials to access the ESXi Server
It’s very simple to access ESXi Server, Now we will see how to access create virtual machines
Step-1 Create a Virtual Machine with below options
Step-2: New Wizard will be prompted select custom option and click next
Step-3: Enter the Name of Virtual Machine, It’s Always good idea to have an appropriate meaningful name.
Step-4: Select the Datastore where you want to create the virtual Machine.
Step-5: Select Virtual Machine Hardware version, you can leave the defaults as it is.
Step-6: Select the Guest OS Platform(Windows / Linux / Other ) and Select Specific Operating System required for example Windows Server 2012 R2
Step-7: Select Virutal CPU’s
Step-8: Configure Virtual machine memory
Step-9: Create Network Connections and configure and click Next
Step-10:SCSI Controller leave defaults, it will be pointed to right controller based on the Operation Systems you selected and click next
Step-11: Select Create new Virtual Disk and Click next.
Step-12:Enter the Disk Size and Select the Disk Options (Thick / Thick Lazy / Thin) and click nex
Step-13:Virtual Device Configuration node leave the defaults,the virtual machine will select this option automatically based on the OS we have chosen.
Step-14: You have reached to end of the configuration, you can just click on finish to complete the virtual machine creation or if you can slelect the below higlighted box and click on finish to lanuch the virtual machine edit options for creating any additional components or modifing the current settings or configurations.
